Limp Ear

April 16, 2014, 10:32 PM
Q: My three month teacup Yorkshire terrier has a limp ear. Both stood up when I got her 3 weeks ago. What could have caused this??
A: The cartilage in the ear is what gives it strength to stand, as your puppy grows the structure of the cartilage changes just as the structure of her bones does. There is a good chance that as she matures the cartilage in her ear will strengthen and her ear will stand again, if it appears that this is not happened in the next couple weeks there are ways to support it and improve the chance that it stands. Let me know what happens over the next week or so.
