Dark Discoloration around eyes

June 30, 2017, 1:36 AM
Q: Is there a way to prevent daily dark eye discharge in my one year old teddy bear mal-shih? I heard that giving her food without beet pulp in it can be helpful. I don't want to give her Angel Eyes, as it is antibiotics. Is there something natural I can give her? I have to clean her eyes every day.
A: Products like Angel Eyes do contain a low level of antibiotic. In my opinion all the fuss that is made about this is over done. I do not fell these products represent a threat. Many "All Natural" alternatives are available. The efficacy of any tear stain product varies from dog to dog. No matter which one you pick you will need to use it for 3-4 weeks before you see the full effect.
