Vomited food

August 15, 2018, 12:13 PM
Q: My puppy just threw up, only once, but it was mainly a lot of unchewed food and a small amount of white foam...is this normal? Should I take her to our local vet? Also, how do I make sure that she chews her food properly?
A: Sporadic vomiting in any puppy is fairly common. As long as her attitude and appetite are good you don’t need to take her. If the vomiting continues or her attitude or appetite are affected be sure to let me know. It is best to go with smaller more frequent meals after the vomiting.
