Medicine for puppy
March 29, 2015, 7:31 PM- Q: My wife and I recently purchased a small yorkie, with meds to be administered, as per the directions that accompanied them. The pictorial directions list "valbazen" to be administered 3 days after arrival home, but the written directions seem to indicate that "albendazole" is to be given at three days, with no mention of valbazen. Could you tell me if these two are the same thing and what each is actually used for ? I want to make sure that neither could hurt my pup, if administered as directed.
- A: Those are two names for the same drug. It prevents and controls common intestinal worms and another parasite called giardia. It is safe when given as directed.
