Preventive Care

Flea and tick prevention

January 19, 2021, 12:12 AM
Q: Hi, I want to switch from Credelio Flea and Tick prevention medication to Promika ZoGuard Plus Flea and Tick prevention medication (sold at Costco). Is it ok? Thanks!
A: They are completely different products.  While the active ingredient of Promika and  Frontline are the same (fipronil) I have not had good experiences with generic versions of Frontline in that there seems to be more local reaction at the application site and often a sticky residue on the skin and hair.
