Blood tests

Q: Is it common to obtain blood work for puppies right away? Ie around 8 weeks old? We were offered a chem10 now but didn’t know if better to wait until the puppy is closer to when they would be getting spayed/neutered. I heard some vets get lab work prior to that around 9-12 months
A: Establishing baseline chemistries is never a bad idea, actually having more than one sampling during development is a good plan.
