The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel or the Cavalier Spaniel for short originated in England during the 17th century and quickly became the favorite pet of the Royal House of England. Recognized as one of the largest toy breeds and true to their heritage, these loyal and devoted pups make for the ultimate companion and lap dog.
Appearance and Grooming
It has a strong, flat back and a long and silky fur with different colors like black, grey, white, red or cream, a long tail and a small body with long and pendent ears. It has a feathered tail which is carried high and moves when it runs. Because of its long coat, brushing is recommended often to minimize shedding.
Temperament
It has a friendly, active and playful personality and it gets along with humans and other pets. It is very happy to accompany its owners at daily activities. It doesn’t bark frequently and is generally well-behaved. Despite these, it can become suspicious around strangers. Sometimes, it tends to be shy or stubborn.
Family and Companionship
These playful puppies are just as happy to be city dogs as they are to be country dogs. They have soft and gentle nature, which makes them outstanding as therapy dogs. Their sweet and affectionate personality makes them a perfect companion for anyone especially, "empty nesters," as they love to cuddle and be close to their owner. Although these dogs have a proclivity for noisy greetings, they are generally not a protective breed.
Exercise
Don’t let their toy size fool you these dogs pack a lot of energy for their small frames. A daily walk each day and some indoor active play will surely keep your puppy in peak condition.
Training and Socialization
It is loyalty and obedience allow for this breed to be easily trained. Cavalier Spaniels are a true sporting breed and are often used in sport competitions for their athleticism. They are often used in dog sports such as agility, flyball and rally. Some have even shown their prowess as hunting dogs. Food rewards and positive reinforcement help ensure that training goes smoothly. Cavaliers have a soft personality, so yelling at them is counterproductive and likely to send them into hiding. Instead, reward them every time you see them doing something that is good.

We were very skeptical buying our puppy online no more. We had to put our 12 1/2 year old yorkie and our 15 1/2 year old dachshund down within a month of each other it broke our hearts they were family not just dogs. I wasn’t sure I was ready for another dog yet until I saw this baby’s face. He has been such a joy. He had to be flown to us he came tail wagging very clean and very healthy looking and has just been a love. He is so smart is doing great potty training and doing good crate training. He goes for rides with us in his new car seat and just falls asleep loves his rides. We couldn’t be happier with our new family member and all the help along the way thanks premier pets

LilaLee came to us as a spunky 8 week old Cav puppy on July 12, 2019... she has since grown into a proud, confident and capable 1 year old. Incredibly smart, she was awarded her Canine Good Citizenship Certificate from the ACK at nine months old... and her trajectory continues. Her ability to social with dogs of all sizes and people of all ages has made her a favorite of everyone she meets. I'm Ava I'm 10 years old and I live in Ketchikan Alaska. How we came to get Nalle is I told my mom "I want a beagle" so we started looking at beagles. I had researched them before and they seemed like the perfect fit for our family, but as I looked farther into it, I realized that they need a whole lot of exercise and bark a lot. That wasn’t a good fit for our family, so no to the beagle. But my mom had always wanted a Cavachon. We started looking at them, but I liked cavapoos better so my mom said "Ava, we can get a cavapoo." So I started looking for cavapoos. I spent about four to five hours looking for trustworthy websites and a reputable breeder. It was so hard, trying to find a good site, I probably went through at least 35 different websites, until I found Premier Pups. It was the first site I found that actually had reviews, so we started looking at cavapoos on here. It was amazing! We fell in love with and bought Nalle (formally Yoga,) after a few weeks of searching and making sure the timing was right to bring a new puppy home. Then, my Grandparents decided the time was right for them, too, so Premier Pups sent us the pair of pups together! They made the process super easy and shipped the pups here by airplane, staying in constant contact. We picked her up from the airport. They were in amazing condition and cuter than we thought possible! The next day Premier Pups called to check on them. I would recommend Premier Pups to anyone ready to make room for new addition to the family! You’re incredible Premier Pups!
