After arduous searching for reputable French bulldog breeders, we landed upon Premier Pups. We looked through the available litter, and immediately, it was love at first sight when we saw (at the time named) JR! He was the epitome of what a dream Frenchie should look like! We spoke extensively with the staff at Premier Pups, and we felt so comfortable with the staff’s knowledge, compassionate treatment and care for the pups, as well as reassurance for first time Frenchie buyers. We placed the deposit on a Thursday, and we picked up our fur son that Saturday! That’s how much at ease the staff made us feel! From start to finish, the staff was incredible; Louis Barkley (aka JR) has provided us more joy than we could’ve ever imagined for almost four years. We’ve not encountered any health issues, and we can’t say enough how pleased we’ve been with our Frenchie addition. We’ve fallen so in love with Louis that we’ve just purchased another! If you’re considering Premier Pups for your next fur baby, don’t hesitate, just DO IT!

This breed's laid-back nature does not mean they're devoid of fun and play. On the contrary, French Bulldogs can be quite playful and are known for their often comical and entertaining antics, which only further endears them to their owners. Their affectionate demeanor, combined with a remarkably low barking tendency, makes them a joy to have around the house.
French Bulldogs are sturdy, compact, and stocky, with a powerful muscular build that contradicts their small size. However, owning a French Bulldog does come with responsibilities. Their brachycephalic (short-nosed) nature makes them prone to certain health issues and less tolerant of extreme temperatures. Despite their muscular appearance, they are not the best swimmers, and care should be taken around bodies of water.
