Special Nurturing Notice
Puppies less than 2 lbs require the special care and attention the first 2 weeks in their new home. They need to eat every 2-3 hours, starting with their arrival.
Named after the region of Pomerania in Germany, also commonly known as the Pom or Pom Pom was first recognized as a descendent of the Wolfspitz breed. They originally were larger and were used as sheep herders. It became a popular breed in England in the 1800 year, when Queen Victoria adopted one. Its size has reduced and the fur grew more, it became a small puppy with a smiling foxy look, a real toy dog. This puppy was first recognized by the AKC in 1888 and it was perceived as a watchdog, with agility and performing tricks. It has since become one of the most sought after breeds here in the United States.
Appearance and Grooming
They are small, toy-sized dog with wedge-shaped head, almond-shaped dark eyes and tiny and raised ears, sharp pot and long tail carried on the back. The short muzzle is straight and fine. The color of the nose varies with coat color. The coat is longer around the neck and chest area. It can have a variety of coat colors and patterns including red, orange, white, cream, blue, brown, black, black and tan, wolf sable, brindle and white with different colors. With a cottony undercoat regular daily brushing is important to minimize the amount of shedding and tangles.
Temperament
This is a very intelligent dog that has an eagerness to learn and shows strong loyalty to its owner and family. It has a docile and affectionate temperament and yet will be playful and energetic when enticed. It shows off its bravery often with strangers, as it will bark at them excessively.
Family and Companionship
They are highly extroverted dogs and love being in the midst of new people and try to make friends with everyone they meet. They do extremely well with children and other pets as they are highly sociable animals. They are also very protective of their owners and they respond very well to training and mental exercises. Due to their size, they prefer being inside than outside. They are well-suited for a large home or apartment life and crave human companionship more than anything else.
Exercise
Routine exercise is necessary for the health and wellness of these high energy level pooches. Daily walks and frequent play will keep you puppy occupied and fit. Don’t be afraid of long walks with this one as their strong levels of endurance can carry them up to 5 miles and sometimes even more.
Training and Socialization
Known to become aggressive if not properly trained, these dogs need a firm yet gentle trainer. Though quick learners who are good at learning tricks, primary focus should be on obedience and barking as these tiny pups tend to see themselves as the boss and become incessant barkers. Socialization is equally as important as their extroverted and inquisitive nature must be met in effort to keep your pup happy and well mannered.

In February we picked our Maltipoo up from Premier Pups and fell in love with him and our experience. So a week or two later we got him a playmate from PPs as well. His name is Rigby (aka Bradley) and our dogs have been BFFs since they met. We love them so much and my boys are asking for another... not right now, but if we do get another dog in the future, it will be from Premier Pups. Thanks guys

My puppy is my new little baby. The moment I saw his profile picture I fall in love with him. I was so worried that I haven’t see him before having him. My Wife always wanted a small breed puppy but the selection around Arizona was limited or the price was ridiculously expensive. A Pomeranian or a Yorkshire Terrier in the Arrowhead Mall Pet Shop was $5K or more! So we decided to research online for a reputable site and Premier Pups climbed to the top of our list. There is nothing ambiguous about their standard of procedure or policies. After tirelessly looking for a legitimate place to adopt a Pomeranian, I came across Premier Pups and I’m so happy I did! I laid my eyes on Ebony now Tulip and I knew she was mine! We have had Cleo for 1 week! We love her so much! She is very active and loved to play with water botttles.. Ha! My daughter sufferes from ainxiety and the dr suggest we get a small dog or cat to help her.. So, she decided (after seeing her friend with her Pomeranian) that she wanted a Pomeranian! I waited a while but, finally decided it was time.. While shopping at an Apple Store I saw a man with an adorable poodle! He told me where he got her. I couldn't wait to get home and google Premier Pups! I was so happy to see all the great reviews! Then, I saw Lacie/ Cleo! I knew that was the one for my daughter! When I showed my daughter the picture and told her I had bought the puppy she cried. She stayed out of school to go with me to the airport to pick her up. Again, she saw Lacie/ Cleo and cried. I just wanted to touch base with you on Lolo. I'm so happy with her what a great dog she is she is very smart. potty training was a hard task but once she got it no more accident's in side. She love to please. Lolo loves to fetch she plays all the time. She can sit, laydown , give her paw, roll over, catch a Frisbee she love going on the boat and she is a good traveler .
