Cavachon Temperament

Cavachons are even-tempered, gentle, and polite dogs. They are excellent around children, generous with love, kind towards strangers, and quick to bond with other dogs and pets. Although they are enthusiastic about spending an entire day being active outdoors, they also have a sweet-cuddly nature and are more than happy to crash on their favorite lap after a full day's workout. Some of their favorite hobbies include swimming, hiking and running, fetching, cuddling, and playing any type of canine game. They are known to be great at dog sports and very fond of obstacle courses.

Cavachons are also comedic stunt artists that love to entertain. These funny comedians love to perform for a cheering audience and they’ve never failed to cause giggle fits. They have a few tricks up their sleeves and are always eager to learn more.

As the offspring of two very intelligent parent breeds, the Cavachon puppy is a brilliant little student when it comes to training. These pups are focused, obedient, responsive, and keen on pleasing their trainer. Give them a puppy treat and some praise and they will be all ears.

The Cavachons are family-attached dogs that can’t stand to be apart from their humans. These devoted dogs want to be involved in every family activity and adventure there is. Unlike the Cavachons, Poochons are more independent and don’t require the presence of their humans to have fun.
