Cavachon puppies are a hybrid breed between the Cavalier King Charles Spanieland Bichon Frise. Originating in the United States in 1996, the Cavachon quickly earned its place on the list of designer dog breeds. This lovable lap dog makes an incredible companion and tends to form an extremely close bond with its owner. Because of their strong connection they don’t like to be left alone, so if you’re someone who travels or spends a lot of hours at the office this may not be the best fit.
With its long to medium length coat and silky fur, and its hypoallergenic coat makes it a perfect pet for anyone suffering with allergies. Their coat can appear wavy or straight with a few different color variations, most commonly white with tan, apricot, red, brown and sometimes with black markings. Unlike some other designer breeds, their parents’ coats will be good guide to your puppy’s color. Because of their long fur they need trimmings once or twice a month depending on the season and the climate. It also needs brushing a few times a week to avoid knots and tangles.
Following in the pawsteps of its parents, this charming little puppy is sure to have a sweet and loving temperament. As long as your puppy is with you, they are certainly going to be happy and easy to please. They’re playful and friendly nature allows them to get along well with children and other animals. However, like many small dogs, they can become overly protective as they exhibit “small dog” syndrome. Ensuring proper socialization and training at a young age will surely help to curb this.
Family and Companionship
These little teddy bears make the perfect companion for anyone who is looking for a low maintenance lap dog. They adapt easily to whatever living conditions they are in and will not mind living in apartments or big family homes. They fit in well with a family or with someone who is single or retired. Because they love human interaction so much, they will not do well if left alone for long periods of time.
Though very playful, they are not particularly high energy dogs and only require moderate exercise. A daily short walk and some active playtime at home will suit them perfectly.
Training and Socialization
The Cavachon’s moderate to high level of intelligence and obedience helps to make training much simpler. 30 minute training sessions each day are just right for this puppy. In addition, early socialization will help your new pet to be calm in the presence of other people and pets and ease its separation anxiety when its owner leaves.

We are so happy to have this little guy! After tons of research and after reading many reviews for a reputable breeder, we were delighted to discover Premier Pups. They made the process so easy. They were full of information and had great communication. Any questions we had were answered. The process was so simple and exactly as premier pups said it would be. Highly recommend! Would definitely purchase from premier pups again. We could not be happier with our Cava chin, Chuck. An awesome addition to our family. Thank you premier pups!!
Great experience purchasing our pup Bailey - She has been an amazing addition to our family. I would highly recommend getting a dog from them abd in dact did as my neighbor ended uo getting one a year later. Both dogs are anazing!
We adopted Gus Gus in February of 2014. He is so precious. Everybody that meets him falls in love with him. although he is not particularly a kid friendly dog, I think that's because he get nervous because kids are so rough and he's only 9lbs! He's my best buddy!
We got Baxter (formerly Carson) in early June, and he has been such a joy! From picking him up from the airport to watching him grow and learn, it is evident that Premier Pups truly cares about the quality of their dogs, and about the dog health and safety. The flight process and instructions when he arrived were so easy! I was anxious at first, but the anxiety was quickly relieved. We have had so many compliments on Baxter, and not only on how adorable he is! Even when we first got him, we were complimented on how socialized he was, and how easy going of a dog he was. He was already crate trained when he arrived, and potty training (had it's ups and downs) went relatively smoothly. It is evident that Premier Pups truly chooses great quality dogs and cares for them deeply until it is time for their adoption. We have had so much fun with Baxter! He loves all dogs and people, and is very social! He has become a lake dog, and loves to swim with his lifejacket! Thank you, Premier Pups, for a great experience, and for the gift of our precious pup!
We received our pup in great health, eating really well and very curious. Thank you, I will and all ready have referred you to everyone that asks where she came from. Purchasing was made easy, delivered promptly, and every one I spoke with at Premier pups was more than helpful and friendly. They even called the next day to check on her and to make sure we were satisfied with the transaction. The next pup I purchase will be from you guys, you know your business. Thanks again. there is no doubt about it, they are Premier! but it's the quality of their puppies that gets the 5 stars! they went above and beyond our expectations! we have had darcy, our king charles cavalier mix for over 2 years now!! we picked her up new years day 2014 and she is "the smartest" four-legged family member that we have ever had!! and that is saying a lot, since we were sheltie breeders for years!. so, what did we do for her 1st birthday? we went to Premier pups for a mate!! we purchased edgrrr, a purebred bichon and our lives became very "exciting"! he is a nutjob!!! the funniest lil guy in the world!!! i know that i am running on and on, but it's deserved!!! and guess what...darcy and edgrrr had their 3 sons just before edgrrr's 1st birthday! (living up to his collar "stud muffin"-he was only 8 months when they concieved!!) and, now, we have grrrizzy, too! my neighbor has the other 2 boys, "mozart and beethoven"... obviously we can't thank you enough, so, if you need an more endorsements, you can count on us!! with our deepest gratitude, robynn and mike darcy, grrr, grrrizzy, tucker, p.j. and precious D https://s3-media4.fl.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/NG1jjJ-6NeeYcfBOX7-EeQ/348s.jpg https://s3-media1.fl.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/LwxeIYWbAskjzh2Z_PnDLw/348s.jpg https://s3-media3.fl.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/ujvOjGrSEk7bGZRjuZa5VA/348s.jpg https://s3-media2.fl.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/91y9vnh0RI5-tbUwOnpIAQ/348s.jpg
Formally Anna, now Mia Grace "Gracie", has and is still adapting very well at her new home. She has an older sister Dottie who is 14. Gracie loves to follow her around and kiss Dottie's nose when she is laying down. Dottie is a pomapoo and is about 27 lbs. They get along great. Gracie just came home with us Sunday, April 2nd, and I haven't received all her things yet . So for now she pretty much has run of the Den. We have baby gates up and all but she's having a blast playing with Dottie. I want it's naptime she'll let you know . Sure didn't take long for us to fall in love with her she's beautiful.
We were heartbroken after our 14 year old Maltese/Bichon Lacey passed away. She was like one of our children and she was with me pretty much 24/7. We missed her so much and there was a hole in our hearts. Then, my daughter was searching for Bichon mixes and came across Premier Pups. She sent me a photo of a Cava Chon named Nanci. That little face immediately stole my heart. I couldn't stop thinking about her, so I called Premier Pups. They were very nice and answered all my questions. She wasn't quite ready to come home, and it seemed like forever as we counted the days until she arrived. I'm fairly certain that Lacey had something to do with bringing her to us, she is like a little ray of sunshine, always so happy and she is the best puppy! She is now a little over 3 and a half months old, and potty trained. She is a beautiful puppy and so smart, and she fit into our family from day one. Everyone who sees her wants to take her home! Premier Pups was amazing for their support in the first few days transitioning her to our home, and they were always available day or night to answer questions. i have now learned that while you can never replace that amazing friend you lost, you can love another just as much!
Our Cava Chon pup purchased from Premier pup has brought such happiness and joy to our home. Having never purchased a pup on line I was apprehensive but the experience has proved to be worry free. Our little Abby is a happy, healthy pup. The staff has been wonderful and supportive. I would not hesitate to recommend Premier pup to anyone looking for a family pet.
This is our sweet Lola! She is 6 months old and is the most loving, cuddly dog ever. We purchased her after having to put down our beagle/Bassett of almost 13 years and she has been a great addition to our home. Premier pups was very easy to work with and answered all questions that we had.
