List of Inspection Points
Named after the region of Pomerania in Germany, also commonly known as the Pom or Pom Pom was first recognized as a descendent of the Wolfspitz breed. They originally were larger and were used as sheep herders. It became a popular breed in England in the 1800 year, when Queen Victoria adopted one. Its size has reduced and the fur grew more, it became a small puppy with a smiling foxy look, a real toy dog. This puppy was first recognized by the AKC in 1888 and it was perceived as a watchdog, with agility and performing tricks. It has since become one of the most sought after breeds here in the United States.
Appearance and Grooming
They are small, toy-sized dog with wedge-shaped head, almond-shaped dark eyes and tiny and raised ears, sharp pot and long tail carried on the back. The short muzzle is straight and fine. The color of the nose varies with coat color. The coat is longer around the neck and chest area. It can have a variety of coat colors and patterns including red, orange, white, cream, blue, brown, black, black and tan, wolf sable, brindle and white with different colors. With a cottony undercoat regular daily brushing is important to minimize the amount of shedding and tangles.
This is a very intelligent dog that has an eagerness to learn and shows strong loyalty to its owner and family. It has a docile and affectionate temperament and yet will be playful and energetic when enticed. It shows off its bravery often with strangers, as it will bark at them excessively.
Family and Companionship
They are highly extroverted dogs and love being in the midst of new people and try to make friends with everyone they meet. They do extremely well with children and other pets as they are highly sociable animals. They are also very protective of their owners and they respond very well to training and mental exercises. Due to their size, they prefer being inside than outside. They are well-suited for a large home or apartment life and crave human companionship more than anything else.
Routine exercise is necessary for the health and wellness of these high energy level pooches. Daily walks and frequent play will keep you puppy occupied and fit. Don’t be afraid of long walks with this one as their strong levels of endurance can carry them up to 5 miles and sometimes even more.
Training and Socialization
Known to become aggressive if not properly trained, these dogs need a firm yet gentle trainer. Though quick learners who are good at learning tricks, primary focus should be on obedience and barking as these tiny pups tend to see themselves as the boss and become incessant barkers. Socialization is equally as important as their extroverted and inquisitive nature must be met in effort to keep your pup happy and well mannered.

We purchased a Pomeranian last month. He’s name on the site is Ezra but we changed it to Toby. He is such a sweet, smart puppy. Thank you so much premierpups Toby changes pur lives. He makes us happy!
Fabulous experience adopting a Pomeranian puppy from Premiere Pups! I am absolutely in love with our little guy Dexter. His original name at premier Pups was Bento but, we changed it to Dexter. It just seemed to suit him, as he is very smart & quick. We just adopted him on May 8th & he is 8 weeks old. I can't say enough good things about this company. Everything went smoothly from start to end at Premiere Pups. I dealt with several people at the company, all who were very nice & helpful. I found out the people they hire, all are pet owners & animal lovers & it really shows. Everyone you will deal with goes above & beyond to make your experience comfortable & perfect. I want to thank Lacie & Angie especially. These lades are so sweet & thorough, they are exceptional. I spoke to & texted with Lacie numerous times, from the moment I left a deposit, to the day our puppy was personally delivered to us at the Daytona Beach airport. She kept in touch with me every step of the way & made sure things went smoothly. A true professional & caring young lady, who is also an animal lover herself. We paid a bit extra to have a nanny carry him in the plane & deliver him to us. I thought the extra money was worth it, because I did not want to have an 8 week old puppy sitting in a cargo plane compartment all alone for hours, so I paid to have the nanny Angie bring him on the plane. She was able to give him some food, water & comfort him on the place, which I thought was the right thing to do. Angie was wonderful & the perfect puppy nanny. She kept in touch with me & sent me pictures & videos at the airport. She was the sweetest lady & a true pleasure to deal with. A big thank you to Angie for delivering him at night & for enduring such a long day of travel. I highly recommend Premier Puppies. They are a top notch 5 star company, offer impeccable service & deliver a precious puppy. Sincerely, Danielle in Ormond Beach
I am very happy with my puppy (Butters). He is just what I needed to fill my heart up with so much joy. I had an amazing experience with Premier pups and will definitely be purchasing another pup from them in the near future! Thank you for your amazing service!
My husband and I got Calle in April of 2018 and she is perfect!! We love her so much. The staff was so nice and allowed us to come and see her and even sent additional pictures for us in the beginning! It was our first time getting a dog from the internet so we were skeptical but they walked us through everything and made sure we were comfortable. They gave us a blanket, food, a little toy, and so much more to take home with us! HIGHLY recommend this wonderful place! I don’t know what I’d do without my Calle, thank you!
I had driven 4 hours to get peanut (Petey) and I'll tell you it was the best decision I have ever made. I was sceptical at first just bc we have never met or heard of premier pups before and we would be driving so far. Peanut (Petey) is such a happy playful boy! He's beautiful inside and out and I'm so glad I found premier pup! Thank you so much
Milo came into our home April 22nd weighing 1.6 pounds. as of June my boy is now 5 pounds :) he’s absolutely crazy and loves playing with his cat “brother” and loves to eat and go on walks and enjoys car rides. Milo loves being the center of attention. He’s been a true joy to our family!
We purchased “Wiki” who we named Honey Bear in August of 2017. Honey Bear has brought such happiness to our home! She has been to all her vet checks and is a very playful loving pup with zero health issues. Buying from Premier was so easy and we love our new baby. We are so happy with Premier we plan to buy our next addition from them later this year.
Instantly fell in love when I saw his puppy photos. He arrived healthy and happy. He’s now over a year old and has more attitude then me, it’s never a dull moment with Falco around.
I am in love with my dog ??is the most very playful is very tender and I have a year with her and it is the best Everyone at home we love her is part of our family now thanks premierpups :)
I bought my puppy pomerainian last year, I think he arrived about 3-4 days later, when I first met my little buddy, he was the smallest little creature I've ever seen filled with so much energy. I followed the instructions that Premierpups gave me, and long story short, thanks to this site, I'm the happiest guy ever. About one or two weeks in, I finally gave my puppy a name, Tommy. I celebrated his first birthday, with a party, and he will also be 1 year since I got him in two weeks. His my baby, my everything, he has brought me happiness in my life as you cannot imagine. If you decide to buy a pomerianian, things you should know about them, they are not for kids, because the dog may get hurt, and poms are so obbessed with thier owners, I do not mine that part but its something you should know. They will love you no matter what, remember dogs are a big responsibility and not a toy. After 6months he stopped growing, so yes they stay small, he is 1year and a month old, with 5lbs. And yes they are adorable! Here's a recent photo of him, with his little dirty paws, he loves the garden.
