Breed: Cava Chon

Loc: Syracuse, NY

I learned about Premier Pups from my sister. I actually was researching it to ensure it wasn't a scam for her sake! We weren't sure we wanted to jump into puppy life again, but are SO glad we did. Hairy is a wonderful addition to our family. He's full of energy, playful, & so sweet. His tail wags constantly! Our vet was very impressed with his care prior to us getting him. And Ryan at Premier Pups was so helpful. All in all, a great experience!

We are so happy to have this little guy! After tons of research and after reading many reviews for a reputable breeder, we were delighted to discover Premier Pups. They made the process so easy. They were full of information and had great communication. Any questions we had were answered. The process was so simple and exactly as premier pups said it would be. Highly recommend! Would definitely purchase from premier pups again. We could not be happier with our Cava chin, Chuck. An awesome addition to our family. Thank you premier pups!!

Breed: Cava Chon
Client: David A Ross
Loc: Columbus Ohio

My wife and I chose our little cava chon in December 2018. he is now around 12 weeks old and is such a loving, healthy, happy and playful boy. His ability to learn is very good, his potty training has gone very well and he loves the snow as you can see in this photo. We did a lot of research before deciding on Premier Pups. The place is very professional, clean and wonderfully ran. The experience could not have been better. I would highly recommend them! 5-Stars!!!!!

Name: Libbey, formally Fran
Breed: Cava Chon
Client: Deb Riley
Loc: Phoenix, AZ

Our experience with Premiere was very easy. Libbey has fit right in and has us laughing every day. She was well crate trained which helped us go right into housebreaking. At 14 weeks, she piddles on command, sits, and comes when called. Now if we can get past the puppy chewing, she will be perfect. But what's a pair of slippers compared to the smiles.

Name: Charlie
Breed: Cava Chon

We picked up Charlie in June. He is now 9 months old. He is very health, and the smartest, best little dog ever. We have recommended you to friends. Thank you for bringing him into our life.

Date: 9/30/2016
Name: Baxter
Breed: Cava Chon
Client: Lauren Howard
Loc: 30339

We got Baxter (formerly Carson) in early June, and he has been such a joy! From picking him up from the airport to watching him grow and learn, it is evident that Premier Pups truly cares about the quality of their dogs, and about the dog health and safety. The flight process and instructions when he arrived were so easy! I was anxious at first, but the anxiety was quickly relieved. We have had so many compliments on Baxter, and not only on how adorable he is! Even when we first got him, we were complimented on how socialized he was, and how easy going of a dog he was. He was already crate trained when he arrived, and potty training (had it's ups and downs) went relatively smoothly. It is evident that Premier Pups truly chooses great quality dogs and cares for them deeply until it is time for their adoption. We have had so much fun with Baxter! He loves all dogs and people, and is very social! He has become a lake dog, and loves to swim with his lifejacket! Thank you, Premier Pups, for a great experience, and for the gift of our precious pup!

Date: 3/19/2017
Name: Wrigley Belle
Breed: Cava Chon
Client: Danny & Lisa Cannon
Loc: Valparaiso, IN

We just picked up Wrigley on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 and she is already settling in very well. She made the five-hour ride home like a trooper, eats every 2-3 hours and already tells us when she needs to go outside to potty. The first night home was a little rough but she now sleeps through the night in her crate or on her bed next to ours, just getting up once or twice to go potty. We have been so delighted with the staff at Premier Pups checking up on her daily and being so helpful when we picked her up this week. We highly recommend Premier Pups if you are considering a new puppy soon; hope you have as happy an ending as we did with Wrigley Belle (previously known as April).

Date: 3/4/2017
Name: Mia (formerly Liz)
Breed: Cava Chon
Client: Seungeun Lee
Loc: Boston, MA

We got Mia on 2/16/17 after a long journey. We had adopted a dog two weeks before, however she wasn't able to come due to two snowstorms (both on the day of flights.) The day she was supposed to arrive, the owner himself, Mike, called us to tell us that the dog had a health issue, and highly recommended to not fly her out, so she ended up not come home with us (best wishes Callista!) He told us that we could choose another dog, and that she can be sent out the next day. While crying over the news we just had just heard, my daughter found on the website Mia and immediately fell in love. This incredibly playful and well-behaved dog brings our family so much happiness and joy. They did such a good job checking up on her the first few days to make sure she was settling in and answering all of our questions. When we got Mia, I could tell right away that Premier Pups had taken phenomenal care of her. In fact, when she came she was already potty-trained and had the some of fundamentals and basics down for training. We are so grateful to Premier Pup for being so honest with us and helping us work through this difficult situation, as well as helping us find the perfect little doggy for our home. If you are thinking about to adding a family member, please consider Premier Pups. Thank you so much for giving us our bundle of joy!

Cavachon Puppies Breed Information

Cavachon puppies are a hybrid breed with its origins in America. They resulted from crossing Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Bichon Frise. Cavachon pups have joined the list of “designer dogs”. They appeared in 1996 and have become popular due to their looks and kind natures.  They are low shedding small dogs that inherited a nice and gentle personality from Cavalier Spaniel and the playfulness behavior from Bichon Frise breed.

Cavachon is a small size dog with a height of maximum 40 cm and a weight up to 8 kg, with a fluffy fur, soft and silky inherited from the Bichon. It has a large variety of colors from red, brown, orange, black and white or a combination of these colors. Cavachon has a lifespan from 10 to 12 years and it is generally a healthy breed.

Cavachon is a delightful looking little pet with extra fluffy, thick and curly coat. It has expressive eyes and an athletic appearance. Its coat can get quite long, from 3 to 5 inches and needs regular grooming.

Cavachon is a playful and lively pup, it loves to do tricks and to entertain the beings around it. It barks a lot and it is affectionate with its owner. It barks to announce its owner when there are strangers around.

It loves to walk and play and it is active, intelligent, friendly and jovial. Being an active little dog, it needs regular daily exercise to be happy and healthy. It is extremely good at keeping itself entertained. It is a very clever dog and responds well to positive reinforcement training techniques. It becomes very attached to its owner and loves being pampered. It is easy to train as it likes tricks very much, but needs a firm, gently and patient trainer. It is important to protect it against cold because it is a sensitive pup.

Cavachon pup needs haircut once or twice a month depending on the season and the climate. Its coat needs to be frequently brushed to avoid tangles. It is recommended to be brushed since puppyhood in order to get used with it and to associate brushing with a pleasant moment, a time for massage and caress.

It also needs to be regularly washed to keep its fur cleaned.  As owner you have to carefully clean its ears, and the area around the eyes as they become easily dirty and you should pay attention to its dental hygiene in order to prevent tooth loss. It is recommended to offer it only dry food that helps it to maintain healthy teeth. The quantity of food should be carefully measured so as to prevent obesity. Two meals a day combined with exercises, walking and playing sessions will keep your Cavachon pup fit.

Generally, it has a good health, without issues. If it has a good health family history it won’t have health problems. If the family health was not very good, it is prone to heart diseases, hip dysplasia, eye or ear problems inherited from Cavalier Spaniel or epilepsy or flea bite allergies inherited from Bichon Frise.

If you’re in love with Cavachon breed, we invite you to take a look at our website and choose the perfect one for you. We provide pups from reputable breeders in Ohio and in the nearby states: West Virginia, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Illinois and Pennsylvania.
